After climbing, the day naturally continues with an introduction to Portuguese cuisine: freshly grilled fish, aromatic caldeirada, or simple yet perfect bacalhau, enjoyed in a small seaside tavern to the sound of the waves.

Hiking in Madeira means walking along levadas and mountain trails with constant views of the ocean, waterfalls, and lush green valleys. Routes of varying difficulty are suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers, while the mild climate allows hiking year-round. It is a perfect combination of activity, wild nature, and deep mental reset.

Madeira is a place where movement and stillness naturally complement each other. Mornings often begin with yoga on a terrace overlooking the ocean or among the mountains, when the air is fresh and the sound of waves sets the rhythm of breathing. After that, we head out on hikes along levadas and mountain paths — through laurel forests, past waterfalls, and clouds slowly drifting between the peaks. On this tour, the body works while the mind rests — every step and every asana becomes a way to feel both the island and yourself more deeply. This is an ideal journey for travelers seeking not only new routes, but also inner balance.

Exploring a fishing town, hiking along the ocean. Possible walk to San Nicolás Island during low tide. 10–12 km.

Day 6: San Sebastián → Lekeitio

Trekking to Gernika, the Gernika Oak, walk through the Oma Forest. ~20 km, ↑↓ ~500 m.

Day 7: Lekeitio → Gernika → Mundaka

Ascent to the symbol of the Basque Country — Mount Gorbea (1481 m). ~15 km, ↑↓ ~900 m.

Day 8: Monte Gorbea

Trek to the monastery on the rock (a filming location from Game of Thrones), evening program closing. ~20 km, ↑↓ ~400 m.

Day 9: San Juan de Gaztelugatxe
