DOLOMITES VIA FERRATA 2.0
Via ferratas in the Dolomites are a unique combination of mountaineering, hiking, and history, making this region one of the most popular destinations in the world for active tourism. The term "via ferrata" comes from Italian and means "iron path" — these are equipped mountain routes with steel cables, ladders, rungs, and bridges that allow you to safely overcome steep rock sections even without classic mountaineering experience. Why the Dolomites The Dolomites are the birthplace of via ferratas. Many routes were built during World War I and today combine sporting challenge with fascinating historical context. They run along steep towers, narrow ridges, and deep cliffs, offering panoramas considered among the most beautiful in the Alps.
